Time:  Noon

 
Present:  Steve Chiek, Donnie Smith, Gerard Laborde, Mark Pellittieri, Frank Caluda, Ted Poydras

Absent:  Dierdra Scott, Lisha Rabalais, Barbara Witt

Treasurer Report:  Balance - $11039.97  

 
Old Business:

 

  1. Lisha has confirmed Karen Nix for September 20th meeting.  Topic:  Safety in Pest Industry. Steve has reserved Ralph and Kakoo’s for the location of the meeting.

 

  1. Next technician recertification confirmed for October 5th.  Gerard confirmed Hank Robison to be one of the speakers and will see if he can do 2 phases.  Steve is going to call Joe Arceneax to speak.

 

  1. Discussion for GBRPCA Christmas Party. Vote:  Frank motioned to have the party, Gerard seconded the vote.  Motion to have it at Elegant Memories by Donnie, Gerard seconded the vote.  Both passed quorum.  Steve will call to make final reservations.   The Bug Man has offered to provide music. Tentatively Dec. 1st or 2nd.  

 
New Business: 

 
1)   Discussed getting new candidates for board and secretary.

 
2)  The next board meeting will be on September 12, 2011 at 12:00 at LPMA.  Gerard is bringing lunch.
